How to choose your rosette?
Like moldings, cornices and other wall decorations, rosettes add style and dress up your interiors . They give extra cachet to your decor.
A ceiling rose is usually installed on the ceiling, but it can also be placed on the wall for a decorative effect or to highlight wall lighting.
Choosing the right size for your rosette
It's all about proportion! The larger your room, the larger your rosette will be.
Please note that the ceiling height must be taken into account . A height greater than 250 cm allows you to increase the diameter of the ceiling rose. For a room with a low ceiling, choose a smaller, thinner ceiling rose to avoid overloading your ceiling.
If you're planning to install a pendant light, it's essential to consider the shape and size of the light fixture you're installing. For example, with a large light fixture, choose a large ceiling rose with simple patterns or a smaller one with rich patterns.

- For a room of around 5 m², choose a rosette of around 20 cm in diameter.
- For a room of 10 m2, choose a rosette between 40 and 55 cm.
- For rooms of 15 m2 or more, the diameter of your rosette can reach 80 cm.
Please note that the configuration of your room remains a key element in choosing your ceiling rose so as not to overload the space.
The decoration of the rose windows
There are several different types of ceiling rose to enhance your interior. For a sleek, designer look, choose a modern-style ceiling rose with a slim design and a simple pattern, while a classic-patterned rose (decorated with acanthus leaves and/or floral motifs) will enhance a decor with characterful furniture.

To be absolutely sure of your choice, you can position the ceiling rose by cutting a piece of cardboard to the diameter of the chosen model and attaching it to the ceiling with adhesive. Don't hesitate to try it several times!
Painting and colors
Orac Décor ceiling roses are smooth and ready to paint thanks to a primer coat. They can be painted with all types of paint, patina, and wax. It is best to paint them before installation, either with a spray paint or a brush; there are no specific recommendations. It is possible to apply wax after painting to accentuate the rosette's relief.
What color to choose?
It is possible and common to repaint the ceiling rose the same color as your ceiling so that it fits in better, but there are other possibilities such as creating a reminder with other elements of your room: sofa, furniture or even a painting.
It is also possible to paint certain patterns in another color to make them stand out. In any case, remember to respect the rule of not adding more than three colors in the same room .
