How to properly light a painting on a picture rail?
Hanging pictures successfully is the first step, lighting them successfully is another!
With a well-hung but poorly lit painting, you've only come halfway there. Most traditional lighting isn't designed for this purpose and, as a result, doesn't showcase your paintings, pictures, and photos to their best advantage.

These lights are either connected to existing wire outlets or, in part, via their own power supply. The transformers used are so compact that they can generally be installed discreetly behind the illuminated objects.
Rail Lighting - URail Paumann
The U-rail range is based on the principle of a circuit of rails fixed to the ceiling , powered by 230v, on which spotlights can be added, moved, directed and removed. Here too, a selection of spotlights has been made to best meet the requirements of picture and ambient lighting.
